I came across Alice’s Bucket List on Twitter (via @MollyLovesShoes) and am absolutely endeared by this young lady’s blog. Alice Pyne is a 15-year-old from the U.K. who has been fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma for four years. Pyne began started her blog with the intention of sharing her bucket list with her friends and family but it quickly went viral and her two posts now have thousands of comments.
Pyne’s unwavering air of innocence and positivity is simultaneously refreshing and heartbreaking but perhaps the most touching part of the blog is the outpouring of support by total strangers, many of whom have offered their services to help Pyne fulfill her bucket list. Representatives from Cadbury World and Alton Towers were overwhelmed with requests via Twitter to reach out to Pyne and her family. Even more refreshing is Pyne’s refusal to accept cash donations; she simply hopes to share her experiences completing her bucket list and live life to the fullest.
Experiences like this really put life into perspective; these pockets of positivity and optimism are beautiful and should be celebrated.
